Locally driven multimedia rights model strengthens Valley ties, preserves institutional flexibility, and positions Fresno State Athletics for the future
FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State Athletics today announced the launch of Bulldog Sports Enterprises (BSE), a new locally based multimedia rights and corporate partnerships agency that will represent Fresno State Athletics in a bold new chapter of growth, innovation, and Valley-first alignment.
Â
Through this transition, Fresno State Athletics is moving from its current multimedia rights model to a localized agency structure built to provide greater flexibility, stronger regional relationships, enhanced service to corporate partners, and new opportunities to grow revenue in a rapidly changing collegiate athletics landscape.
Â
As college athletics continues to evolve through Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), revenue sharing, shifting media dynamics, and new commercial demands, Fresno State is positioning itself with a model designed specifically for its brand, its market, and its future.
Â
"College athletics is changing at an unprecedented pace, and Fresno State must evolve with it to remain competitive," said Garrett Klassy, Director of Athletics. "As we prepare for the move to the Pac-12, this is about putting the right model in place to maximize revenue, create flexibility, and strengthen our long-term financial future. Bulldog Sports Enterprises gives us a localized, entrepreneurial approach that reflects the power of the Valley, preserves control of our brand and assets, and creates meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes as we compete at the highest level."
Â
Under the new model, Fresno State will retain control of its intellectual property and brand assets, an increasingly important priority as schools across the country adapt to a more professionalized and dynamic athletics environment. The structure is also designed to preserve flexibility for Fresno State to develop thoughtful, impactful NIL opportunities that benefit student-athletes while aligning with institutional values and long-term strategic goals.
Â
Bulldog Sports Enterprises will lead Fresno State Athletics' multimedia rights strategy, including corporate partnerships, sponsorship development, brand activations, signage, digital media, radio, and other revenue-generating platforms. The localized structure is intended to provide more direct engagement with businesses and community partners, more customized partnership solutions, and deeper integration with the Central Valley marketplace.
Â
BSE is led by President Chris Pacheco, a former Fresno State football student-athlete and accomplished local entrepreneur with longstanding ties to the University and the region. Pacheco brings a unique combination of Bulldog pride, business experience, and market knowledge to the venture. His business portfolio includes ownership interests in ESPN radio stations, A-Plus Signs, and Megaprints, giving Bulldog Sports Enterprises a broad and practical foundation across traditional media, branding, advertising, and local business development.
Â
Supporting Pacheco is a leadership and sales team with deep experience in media, business development, and corporate partnerships, including Ryan O'Rorke - Vice President/General Manager, Nico Pacheco - Partnership Account Manager, and Enrique Loera - Partnership and Broadcast Services Manager. Together, the BSE team brings a high level of energy, creativity, responsiveness, and local commitment to serving Fresno State Athletics and its partners.
Â
"Fresno State deserves a model that is built by people who understand this market, believe in this institution, and know what the Bulldogs mean to the Valley," said Chris Pacheco, President of Bulldog Sports Enterprises. "This is more than a business opportunity — it is personal. We are building a platform that is local, innovative, relationship-driven, and fully committed to helping Fresno State Athletics thrive in this new era."
Â
The transition reflects Fresno State Athletics' broader strategy to modernize its business model, diversify revenue streams, deepen community engagement, and build an operation capable of competing at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics.
Â
With Bulldog Sports Enterprises, Fresno State Athletics will seek to create a best-in-class local model — one that reflects the entrepreneurial spirit of the Valley, strengthens partnerships, unlocks new commercial opportunities, and supports the continued growth of Bulldog athletics. This model is designed to help position Fresno State for sustained success in the Pac-12 era and beyond.
