Mahoney named Big 12 Rider of the Month, again

IRVING, Texas - Fresno State sophomore Paris Mahoney earns another Big 12 Rider of the Month honor, in consecutive months, announced by the conference office on Thursday. Mahoney is tabbed the Co-Flat Big 12 Rider of the Month for February, sharing the honor with Baylor's Lauren Jorgensen.

Mahoney was undefeated in the flat this month, with a 3-0-0 record. Her wins in February stretched her winning streak to four. She helped Fresno State to its first-ever win in Stillwater to close the month. Her 83 scored in her winning ride at TCU was her highest road score of the season, and fifth-highest score of her career.

The sophomore was the fences and flat rider of the month for January, and continued her streak for February. The three honors are the firsts of her career.

Mahoney and the Bulldogs return to action this weekend, hosting UT Martin and Baylor at the Student Horse Center on Friday and Saturday. Parking and admission are free.
