Miler Lung and Kalmar punch ticket to NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships Subcommittee announced- the swimmers who qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The championships will be held March 18-21 at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta. Georgia Institute of Technology will serve as the host.
Mackenzie Miller Lung and Aliz Kalmar have been selected and will represent Fresno State on the national stage. Both Bulldogs will comepte in the 100 and 200 breaststroke.
The MW champion Lung is seeded in top ten in both of her events, sitting as the eighth seed in the 100 breast (57.92) and the tenth seed in the 200 breast (2:08.57). Kalmar is seeded 28th in the 200 breast (2:08.57) and 35th (59.57) in the 100 breast.
The Mountain West will see 13 student-athletes from seven institutions earning the opportunity to compete on the national stage.
A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships either by winning their conference championship in an event with an established minimum time in that swim or by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the Zone Diving Championships held March 8-11. The complete lists of all swimmers (athletes by institution, official psych sheet, relays and alternates) competing in the championships is available at usaswimming.org/ncaa. Selected divers will be announced Thursday, March 12.
ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the women's championships will be on ESPNU at 9 p.m. Eastern time, Wednesday, March 25.
