EL MACERO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's golf team finished day one of the El Macero Classic tied for 14th place, posting a score of 10-over 298 at El Macero Country Club on Friday
Von Wasson leads the Bulldogs following the opening round of the tournament, as the sophomore shot 1-under 71 with five birdies to sit tied for fourth heading into day two.
Chris Bettencourt opened his tournament by carding a 1-over 73 with three birdies and is tied for 25th place. Jaden Hunter concluded his day in a tie for 48th after shooting 3-over with four birdies.
Zack Tarter ended the first round at 7-over, and Nash Arthurs is 9-over.
