FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State Men's Basketball Head Coach Vance Walberg announced another addition to the Bulldog Basketball roster. Dragos Lungu, a transfer from UT Martin, has signed with Fresno State and will join the squad in the 2026-27 season.
Lungu, a 6'6" guard from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, spent two seasons at San Diego. As a Torero, Lungu saw action in 37 games while logging 15 starts. He posted 145 points, 82 rebounds, 65 assists and 16 steals while averaging 17.9 minutes per game for his San Diego career before suffering a season-ending injury in late November of his second year.
The guard then transferred to UT Martin for his redshirt-sophomore season, where he averaged 13.8 points per game. He owned a .620 field goal percentage and averaged 5.3 rebounds per game.
Prior to his college career, Lungu prepped at NBA Global Academy, the league's premier elite basketball development center for top international prospects, located at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra.
