Goerlich tied for seventh through two rounds at MW Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team finished the second day of the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women's Golf Championship in ninth place. After shooting 6-over 294 in the second round, the Bulldogs are now 32-over heading into the final round of the championship tournament.Â
Grand Canyon holds the top spot on the leaderboard at 8-over, followed by Nevada in second place at 9-over and UNLV in third at 10-over. San Jose State (13-over), Wyoming (16-over),and Colorado State (17-over) occupy the middle spots in the standings. San Diego State (22-over), Boise State (26-over), Fresno State (32-over), and New Mexico (33-over) round out the field.Â
Lara Goerlich moved up 21 spots up the leaderboard, shooting 2-under 70 in the second round with three birdies to propel her into a tie for seventh place.Â
Vunnisa Vu sits inside the top-20 after jumping 10 spots into a tie for 18th at 4-over following her even-par 72 performance on Wednesday.
Amelia Garibaldi climbed 14 spots and is tied for 30th at 8-over after carding a score of even-par 72 with five birdies in round two. Katelyn Lehigh is 18-over through two rounds, and Sara Rampoldi sits at 21-over.Â
