The Upland, Calif. native was a part of the team that earned the outright WCC regular season title. In her two seasons at Cal, Donez saw action in 64 games with four starts and totaled 101 points, 46 rebounds, 39 steals while shooting 31% from the field (30-of-96) and 63% from the charity stripe (21-of-33).Â
Coach McCarthy on Zawadi OgotÂ
""We are so excited that Zawadi chose to come to the Valley. She is an elite athlete who will impact our team on both ends of the floor. She is at her best in an up-tempo style and can defend any position which is incredibly valuable. We believe her best basketball is ahead of her and believe the Red Wave will love the way Zawadi competes."Â
Coach McCarthy on Lola DonezÂ
"I remember seeing Lola as a freshman in Maui and knowing that she would be special. Having recruited Lahainaluna and her AAU program in the past, all those relationships came full circle, it became a special moment when she said yes. In our system she will really flourish on both ends of the floor and I cannot wait to turn her loose."
"One of the things that stood out to us in the recruiting process was her deep family ties to the Valley. She understands what and who she is representing here when she wears the green "V" on her jersey."
