How it happenedÂ
Fresno State set the tone after putting up seven runs on eight hits with 11 batters making their appearance at the plate. Alyssa Rebolledo provided extra support, collecting an RBI twice in the inning.Â
Rylee Bocchini hit a three-run triple in the fourth, extending Fresno State's lead to double-figures. San Jose State got their first run off an RBI double in the bottom of the fourth. Alyssa Loza gave up two runs before Bulldogs put Alyssa Ramirez on the mound in the fifth. Spartans' were set up well to get another run in that inning following the pitching change. Â
Bulldogs matched with their own set of four runs in the sixth. Emma Martinez hit a two-run double and reached third on the throw. Rebolledo came in to hit a two-run home run, her first career home run. Spartans' squeezed in one final run, but Ramirez struck out the final two batters to end the game.Â
