MARICOPA, Ariz. - The Fresno State women's golf team wrapped up day one of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in 11th place after posting a score at 17-over 593 at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club on Tuesday.
Amelia Garibaldi, Vunnisa Vu, and Lara Goerlich ended the first day of the tournament tied for 44th after each golfer shot 5-over through two rounds.
After shooting 7-over in the opening round, Vunnisa Vu moved up 38 spots on the leaderboard after carding a score of 2-under 70 in round two with three birdies. Garibaldi also saw improvement during the second round of play as the junior shot 2-over to climb up ten spots to join Vu and Goerlich in 44th place.
Katelyn Lehigh finished her day at 7-over, and Sara Rampoldi was 13-over.
