'Dogs sign Wiese from Nebraska Omaha

FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State women's tennis program and head coach Denise Dy announced the signing of Nina Wiese on Friday afternoon.Â
Wiese wrapped up her sophomore campaign at the University of Nebraska Omaha where she earned a singles win in the semifinal match of the Summit League conference championship. The New York native played between the first and second position in singles at Omaha, holding a 2-4 record at No. 1 and 14-4 record at the No. 2 singles flight. As a Maverick, Wise was tabbed All-Summit Honorable Mention, a two-time Kwik Star Summit League Doubles Team of the Week in 2026.Â
Wiese comes to Fresno as an incoming junior with two years of eligibility remaining. The five-foot-seven Wiese is primed to put herself at the top of the Bulldogs singles lineup this upcoming season. Wiese is set to join returning Bulldog, Eliza Dunbar for the 2026-27 campaign.Â
