Hunter in seventh through two rounds at MW Championship

TUCSON, Ariz. - Jaden Hunter is in seventh place at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men's Golf Championship after shooting 4-under 68 in the second round with five birdies. The team heads into the final round of the championship tournament in a tie for seventh place at 13-under.
UNLV climbed into the top spot on the leaderboard at 27-under, with Grand Canyon right behind in second place at 26-under. San Diego State (22-under), Wyoming (21-under), and New Mexico (19-under) round out the top five, while San Jose State (18-under), Fresno State (13-under), and Colorado State (13-under) sit within the middle of the standings. Nevada (11-under), Boise State (1-under), Utah State (7-over), and Air Force (8-over) complete the field.
Jaden Hunter moved up four spots in the standings following his 4-under par performance in the second round, as the senior sits inside the top-10 in seventh place at 7-under par.
Chris Bettencourt also produced a round of 4-under par on Monday, which included three birdies and an eagle on hole 16. The sophomore climbed eight spots up the leaderboard and heads into the final round of the tournament tied for 13th at 5-under.
Von Wasson is tied for 30th at 1-under after posting a score of 1-under par in the second round with six birdies.
Zack Tarter improved 11 spots after shooting 2-under 70 in round two with six birdies and is tied for 35th at even-par.
Nash Arthurs moved four spots into a tie for 52nd at 5-over after recording a score of even-par in the second round.
