Bulldogs earn All-MW Honors

RENO, Nev. - The Fresno State softball team saw three players earn All-MW honors and two with honorable mention as announced by the league's 10 head coaches ahead of the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Softball Championship on Wednesday morning.Â
Lauryn Carranco led the 'Dogs with a first team honor. In her first year as a Bulldog, Carranco has not let up, owning 16 wins with nine wins in MW play. On 165.0 innings pitched and 109 strikeouts and over 700 batters faced this season. The senior from Clovis, Calif., has matched her career high wins (16) and rolls into her third consecutive season of 100 K's.Â
Jamie Hicks and Emma Martinez are first time All-MW honorees. Hicks leads the team in batting average with a .356 as Martinez trails closely behind with a .347. Hicks has also stayed consistent at the plate ranking as the tenth toughest to strikeout in the nation. Martinez had been strong as the team's lead off hitter, recording at least two hits in 13 games.Â
Alyssa Ramirez and Rylee Bocchini were recognized as All-MW honorable mention. The pair have stepped up this season with Ramirez spending time on the mound. Ramirez owns three wins and a save this season. Bocchini was named MW Player of the Week (Apr. 6) after a series sweep over San José State.Â
