FRESNO, Calif. - Former Fresno State women's basketball player Jaisa Gamble has signed with Bay City Blaze. Gamble will play under the WPBA (Women's Premier Basketball Association), a developmental league that serves as a bridge for elite college athletes to the WNBA, Athletes Unlimited, or Unrivaled.Â
Gamble spent her final year of eligibility with the Bulldogs under Ryan Mccarthy's first season. The forward stepped up and became the teams year-by-year leader in blocks. Gamble topped her final season claiming three single-season records by a senior in minutes played (4th, 1086), in blocks (9th, 15) and in steals (9th, 69). Gamble also became the first MW All-Defensive Team player from Fresno State since 2019-20.Â
The six-foot forward joins the back-to-back WPBA champions Bay City Blaze. The 2026 season begins on Saturday, June 13 as they take on Bay Area Phoenix.Â
