| Red Wave, Today is the day. Fresno State is officially a member of the Pac-12 Conference. Let that sink in. This is more than a conference move. This is a moment for our University, our student-athletes, our alumni, our fans and the entire Valley. And today, we are celebrating you. We are not here without the Red Wave. We are not here without the people who have filled Valley Children's Stadium, packed the Save Mart Center, traveled to bowl games, bought tickets, supported our student-athletes, invested in this department, worn the Bulldog logo with pride and believed in Fresno State when others underestimated what this place could become. The Red Wave is elite. Your passion, loyalty and belief helped make this possible. Conference realignment is often talked about in terms of media markets, television contracts, geography, facilities and resources. Those things matter. But at Fresno State, the real engine has always been our people. Our advantage has always been the Valley. That is why today matters so much. The Valley is Pac-12 Country. That is more than a slogan. It is a statement. It tells the college athletics world what we already know: Fresno State belongs on a national stage, and this Valley is ready to show up, stand tall and compete with anyone. But July 1 is not the finish line. It is the starting line. Now the work becomes even more important. This summer, we are going to show you what this next chapter looks like. We will be rolling out a series of announcements, initiatives, partnerships, fan opportunities and new ways to engage with Fresno State Athletics as we prepare for our first year in the Pac-12. Some will be visible right away. Some are being built behind the scenes. All of them are connected to one goal: building a Fresno State Athletics department that is ready to compete, ready to grow and ready to represent this Valley the right way. That means building new revenue opportunities. It means creating more ways for Valley businesses and fans to invest in the Bulldogs. It means strengthening opportunities for our student-athletes in this new era of NIL and college athletics. It means improving the game-day experience, expanding our storytelling, growing our brand, creating more access and making sure our coaches, staff and student-athletes have the support they need to compete. It also means thinking differently. We have to be more aggressive. More creative. More connected to the Valley. More willing to find every possible edge. That is why we are building new models, pursuing new partnerships, and looking at every part of our operation through the lens of what it will take to win in the Pac-12. Every football game will be carried on linear television this season, giving our student-athletes, our brand and this Valley the national stage it deserves. That matters. When the Bulldogs take the field, the entire country will have a chance to see what the Red Wave already knows. Fresno State belongs. We want the entire Valley to celebrate this moment together. This move belongs to all of us. Our fans, students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, corporate partners and every person who helped make this possible. But as we celebrate, we also know the work ahead is real. The Pac-12 opportunity is massive. So is the responsibility that comes with it. We are entering a conference with great brands, great resources and great ambition. We will not close the gap by hoping things get easier. We will close it the Fresno State way by grinding, innovating, competing and finding every possible edge. That is Valley grit. But grit alone is not enough. Resources matter. Investment matters. Attendance matters. NIL matters. Facilities matter. Corporate partnerships matter. The Bulldog Foundation matters. Buying season tickets matters. Wearing Fresno State gear matters. Showing up matters. The Red Wave helped get Fresno State to the Pac-12. Now we need the Red Wave to help Fresno State win in the Pac-12. So today, celebrate. Wear the Bulldog logo proudly. Tell someone the Valley is Pac-12 Country. Get ready for what is coming next. Because this is not just a new conference. This is a new era. Welcome to the Summer of Transformation. The Valley is Pac-12 Country. Now let's go prove it. Go Dogs! |
