Bulldog Foundation announces record-breaking fundraising year

FRESNO, Calif. The Bulldog Foundation announced a record-breaking fundraising year for Fresno State Athletics, generating more than $14.5 million during the 2025-26 fiscal year. The total included $13.8 million in philanthropic gifts, along with additional support generated through various revenue initiatives. Â
The historic year was fueled by multiple six- and seven-figure gifts, reflecting the continued strength of the Red Wave and the commitment of donors, alumni, fans, businesses, and community partners who invest in Fresno State student-athletes.
"This was a defining year for the Bulldog Foundation and Fresno State Athletics," said Garrett Klassy, Fresno State's Director of Athletics. "Surpassing the most ambitious fundraising goal in our department's history reflects the extraordinary belief the Red Wave has in our student-athletes, our coaches and the future of Bulldog Athletics. We should celebrate this historic achievement, but we are not done. Our ambition is to build on this momentum, continue raising the standard and generate the resources necessary to compete for championships and provide a first-class experience for every Bulldog student-athlete."
The record-setting year came during a milestone period for the Bulldog Foundation, which celebrated its 75th anniversary. Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer and the Fresno City Council formally recognized the occasion with an official City of Fresno proclamation declaring Dec. 4, 2025, as Bulldog Foundation Day in honor of the organization's decades of service and fundraising impact. The Bulldog Foundation also received a State of California Resolution from Assemblymember David Tangipa, recognizing 75 years of service to Fresno State student-athletes.
During the 2025-26 fiscal year, the Bulldog Foundation also launched the Valley Co-Op, a new giving initiative designed to support Fresno State Athletics as college athletics entered the revenue-sharing era. The Valley Co-Op received strong early participation, providing fans and community members with a direct opportunity to invest in Fresno State student-athletes and designate their support to the sport of their choice.
Funds raised during the milestone year supported significant investments in student-athlete amenities, including the construction and installation of a new sports performance practice field and a complete renovation of the Steve Moore Farms Nutrition Lounge inside the Meyers Sports Medicine Center. These projects provide Bulldog student-athletes with enhanced daily resources supporting training, recovery, nutrition, and overall development.
The Bulldog Foundation also launched Valley Fueled, a gift-in-kind program that allows farmers, growers and agricultural partners throughout the Central Valley to donate food directly to Fresno State student-athletes. The program connects the region's agricultural strength with the daily nutritional needs of Bulldog student-athletes while deepening the bond between Fresno State Athletics and the Valley it represents.
The year's momentum was also evident during Fresno State's annual Day of Giving, where the Bulldog Foundation and Fresno State Athletics led all fundraising units for Fresno State, generating $303,868 from 748 unique gifts. The record-setting performance further demonstrated the passion, generosity and commitment of the Red Wave.
That support also positioned Fresno State Athletics to enter the Pac-12 with greater momentum, stronger resources and an elevated national profile.
The 2025-26 fiscal year marked the Bulldog Foundation's third consecutive record-setting fundraising year. More than $35 million has been generated during that three-year period, providing a powerful reflection of the sustained momentum, generosity, and belief surrounding Fresno State Athletics.
