Bulldogs land in D1 Softball's Top 40 Transfer Class Rankings

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State softball team lands in the D1 Softball Top 40 transfer class rankings as announced on Wednesday afternoon taking No. 39 on the list. Fresno State is one of two Pac-12 teams on the list, joining Texas State (No. 24).Â
Fresno State's transfer class features six new Bulldogs, three of which are coming from Power 4 programs - Jayden Ramos (SEC, Arkansas), Kailea Ricks (Big 10, Ohio State) and Alyssa Galindo (Big 10, Michigan State). Two of the six transfers made an appearance at the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Ramos and the Razorbacks trekked on to be one of the final eight teams in the College World Series after taking the Fayetteville Super Regional. Samantha Lotus was the starting pitcher in Wagner College's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance against No. 1 Texas in the Austin Regional.Â
"This group of six transfers adds tremendous depth and experience throughout our roster," said head coach Charlotte Morgan. "They strengthen our pitching staff, bring versatility to the outfield, and provide valuable depth and flexibility to our infield."Â
Arkansas finished the 2026 campaign in the top 25 sitting seventh. Wagner College marked a series of firsts with NEC crown and an NCAA appearance.Â
The new group of 'Dogs also features a slew of all-conference selections. Jordan McMahon (Weber State) was named second-team outfield honors and was ranked first in the Big Sky in hits and triples. Lotus was tabbed All-NEC Rookie Team & NEC All-Tournament honors, NEC Co-Rookie of the Week (Mar. 31) and was the first pitcher in Wagner history to start an NCAA tournament game.Â
