ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Fresno State women's golf team finished the first day of the Branch Law Firm/McGuire Invitational in 10th place, posting a score of 22-over 564 following the completion of one full round at New Mexico University Golf Course on Monday. The second round was not completed after it was suspended due to lightning.
Sophomore Ivy Kim was the low Bulldog in the first round, finishing at 1-over while collecting back-to-back birdies on holes 11 and 12 and four total in the round. Kim was tied for 23rd at the end of the opening round.
Ariya Soldwisch and Lara Goerlich wrapped up their first rounds of the 2026-27 season tied for 28th at 2-over, both totaling two birdies apiece.
Sara Rampoldi concluded the opening round at 4-over with a pair of birdies, and transfer Janna Andaya shot 6-over.
Competing as an individual, freshman Joanna Bushnell Crist ended the first round tied for 47th alongside teammate Sara Rampoldi at 4-over with one birdie.
The second round is set to resume at 6:30 a.m. PT, followed immediately by the final round of the tournament upon its completion.
