National Girls & Women in Sports Day

FRESNO, Calif. - Celebrations are planned in all 50 states and in locations throughout the world for the 14th Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
This commemorative day recognizes the achievements of girls and women in sports and proclaims "Our day in sports is every day."
A day to also remember the positive influence of sports participation and the continuing struggle for equality and access for girls and women, Fresno State will join the festivities on the nationally celebrated day of Wednesday, Feb. 9.
Hosting its fourth straight observance on campus, the Fresno State Athletic Department will conduct clinics for the second straight year in the North and South Gyms.
The general public will be able to meet with all the Bulldog women coaches and the student-athletes while participating in mini-clinics to learn about recruiting, academics, and nutrition and conditioning.
Running from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Fresno State, the evening will consist of four 20-minute sessions and will conclude with special prizes and give-a-ways during a raffle drawing. Autographs can be had and refreshments will be served at the end of the night.
