Fresno State junior guard Marvelle Harris has been named the Fresno State Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts leading the Bulldogs' men's basketball team to wins over two previously unbeaten teams in league play - Utah State and Nevada. Harris was also named the Mountain West Player of the Week - his second career conference weekly honor. Harris averaged 29.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record on the week and moved up into a tie for second place in the league standings - a single game back of MW leader Wyoming. Harris scored a career-high 40 points in the road win at Nevada - the highest mark by any MW player this season - and tied for the third-best single-game scoring performance in the nation this season - while battling sickness throughout the day. He is one of just six players nationally to score at least 40 or more points in a game so far this season. His 40 points were three shy of tying the school record for most points in regulation (43) and five off the school record for most points in a game (45). Also Nominated...
