Fresno State To Host National Girls and Women in Sports Day

FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State will present National Girls and Women In Sports Day on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the North Gym prior to the 2 p.m. tip-off of the women's basketball game against Boise State.
Fresno State female student-athletes from various sports will lead activities and discussions for all participants and parents attending the event. The theme for the 17th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day is "Succeed in Sports, Lead in Life."
The first 100 participants to arrive will receive a bag filled with several souvenir items. One-on-one interaction with student-athletes and the opportunity to gain more information on the positive influence of women's athletics will be the primary focus of this year's event.
