Helped Fresno State to a 4-1 mark over the weekend at the ASU Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. Compton logged a 3-1 record in the 'Dogs five game slate and took the mound for 21.2 of the 33 total innings played over the three-day stretch. In her first game of the season vs. Fordham, she gave up only one hit in four complete innings and added three to her 28 strikeout total to lead the Bulldogs to their first victory of the season. Compton kept the game tied in the eighth inning with three strikeouts to guide Fresno State to an extra inning, 3-2 victory over Cal State Northridge on Saturday night. Against Ole Miss, Compton tied her 2014 season-high with nine strikeouts and allowed only four hits in her 6.1 inning showing, giving up only one hit and accumulating seven of her nine strikeouts in the first four innings. On Sunday, she threw 4.1 innings against the University of San Diego, who beat No.16 Arizona State earlier in the tournament, leading the 'Dogs to a 10-2 win in five innings and posted four strikeouts. Team-wise, the Bulldogs are 4-1 at the conclusion of opening weekend under head coach Trisha Ford.
