Bulldog Basketball Teams to Visit Liddell Elementary School

FRESNO, Calif. - As the 2004 McCaffrey WAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament approaches, the Bulldog basketball teams are continuing to reach out to the community.
In an event put together by the McCaffrey Group, the Fresno State men's and women's basketball teams will be visiting Liddell Elementary School on Thursday, February 26, at 11 a.m.
The event is a tip-off for the upcoming 2004 McCaffrey WAC Men's and Women's Basketball tournament that will be played March 9-13 at Fresno State's Save Mart Center.
Fresno State men's basketball coach Ray Lopes and women's basketball Stacy Johnson-Klein and the members of their teams will be available to meet with the children and sign autographs.
"We are grateful to the McCaffrey Group for their sponsorship of the WAC tournament and our regular season tournament," said Lopes. "They have been great partners for Fresno State and the community. Their commitment to the young people of the Valley is evident in their efforts to put together functions like these. We are looking forward to hosting the 2004 McCaffrey WAC Tournament."
Representatives from the Mayor's Office, including Mayor Alan Autry and Deputy Mayor Roger Montero, will attend the event at the school.
