Nearly 300 Student-Athletes to Be Honored at Eighth Annual Kiwanis Torch of Excellence Dinner

Fresno, Calif. - The eighth annual Kiwanis Torch of Excellence dinner will be held on Monday, April 26, at the Radisson Hotel Convention Center Ballroom in downtown Fresno. A reception begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the dinner at 6:30 p.m. The dinner is sponsored by the Fresno-Madera Kiwanis Clubs of District 7.
The event will recognize 267 Fresno State student-athletes who have achieved a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA for the spring and fall semesters, or have maintained a 3.0 better cumulative GPA during their entire academic career. Over half of Fresno State's 524 student-athletes will be represented at the dinner along with a record 14 seniors honored as Torchlighters, an honor bestowed upon those student-athletes who have maintained at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA and have lettered two of the three years while completing their eligibility
Tickets can be purchased for $35 by calling Keith Kraemer at (559) 291-2947. Sponsorship tables are also available for $300 per table. Reservations should be made by Wednesday, April 7.
