Russell Hayden Named Director Of Athletic Ticket Operations

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State Athletics Director Scott Johnson has announced the hiring of Russell Hayden as Director of Athletic Ticket Operations. Hayden is expected to join the Bulldog staff in the next few weeks.
Hayden fills a position that had previously been occupied by Scott Wetherbee, who accepted a similar position at San Diego State in August of 2002.
"We are excited to have someone of Russell's experience joining our department," said Johnson. "We can't wait to get him on board and I know he will be a good fit for our department and community."
Hayden arrives at Fresno State after serving as the director of ticket/marketing operations at Long Beach State for the previous three years. Prior to his appointment at Long Beach State, he was the ticket department manager at Laguna Seca Raceway for five years.
A 1989 graduate of San Diego State in public administration, Hayden later earned his master's degree in sports/fitness management from the University of San Francisco.
At Fresno State, Hayden will oversee all aspects of the ticket office, including assignment and supervision of staff and event sales.
