Bid for the Bulldogs at Save Mart Center June 5

Fresno - One of the top entertainment events hosted by the Fresno State Athletics Department will be June 5 at the Save Mart Center. The annual Bid for the Bulldogs Auction, which benefits Bulldog student-athletes, will be held indoors for the first time. Fans will be able to mingle with Bulldog coaches and staff members during the evening.
The Bid for the Bulldogs features an incredible variety of items to be sold for far below retail value. This event provides attendees an opportunity to secure great buys on items ranging from domestic and international travel, to annual household and business goods and services, gift certificates, sports memorabilia and much more.
The silent auction is from 5-6:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30. Gary Valentine, a regular on "King of Queens" will provide the evening's entertainment at 7:15 p.m. with the Live Auction to follow.
John Wallace, Central California's best-known journalist, will serve as the celebrity host.
Valentine steals the show with his blend of comedy, improv, and imagination. Gary has been headlining in the stand-up comedy world for 13 years. He has gained a wealth of comedic prowess from his various experiences in the live events, television, acting and hosting. Audiences find gary's quickness on his feet both moving and hilarious. With all of his headlining performances, Gary found the world of television wide open to him. He performed on Oprah Winfrey, MTV and Carolines Comedy Hour. After Headlining at the Montreal Comedy Festival, Gary moved to Los Angeles. He secured a role as a recurring character on the hit CBS television show The King of Queens, and even co-wrote 3 episodes for the series. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Gary continues his live performances and will soon be seen in his own half-hour stand-up special on Comedy Central.
