As normal, we proceeded through the necessary meetings. A few of the color groups performed great skits using the theme song from the "Remember the Titans" singing "We are the Titans." Trust me you had to be there. Anyway after the performance NCAA president Cedric Dempsey came forward to recognize athletes with the Sportsperson of the Year Awards. Two of which went to two athletes who I am proud to say were a part of the brown color group (my/our group). One went to George Audu of Penn State University for track and field while the other went to Safiya Ingram of the University of Alabama, who is also on the track and field team.
Unlike the other days today was a shorter day because we had free time to do whatever we wanted. A couple of friends and I choose to go to the Disney MGM park. Hey, when in Florida do as Florideans do, right? We tried the rides there and the Tower of Terrors really got my heart pumping. And the Rock and Roll Roller Coaster with Aerosmith was a very cool ride. As for tonight we have free rein.
