I am trying not to get emotional since this is the last day of the conference. I just want to say that this has been an awesome week, one that can never be forgotten. To start the day we had a speech about never giving up no matter the obstacle, to see it through to the end. We then had our last color group meeting, we exchanged T-shirts, and signed momentoes. This was a very emotional time for all of us, because many of us fear of not keeping in touch with one another. But that fear soon evaporated when we made plans for a reunion next year.
We have all come a long way, not in just the distance it took to get us all here, but rather in experience and growth. Personally, I can definitely say that I have grown a lot during this conference. I feel older and wiser about a lot of things both in my life and in the future. I now know my strengths and weakness, and I can now travel further beyond the box. Before I came here I had believed that different athletes could not mix, that each sport stuck with their own. But now I know different, I now know that all athletes can work together, that the stereotypes that we all have developed over the years are nothing more than talk.
We have to get past the fact that even though we play different sports, we all train the same, study the same, and more importantly we are all still the same people.
Again, this has been a great week and I am glad that I could share this with you. See you all around. Much love.
