Items Still Left in Bid for the Bulldogs

FRESNO, Calif. - After a record-setting event in the end of June, the 2002 Bid of Excitement still has a few items left. In the Bid for the Bulldogs Post List, items that came in after the event are listed which are available for purchase. This year's auction raised just under $200,000 in gross earnings for Fresno State Athletics.
Among the items that were purchased for a fraction of their value were vacation trips to Australia, Lanai, the Ritz Carlton in Washington, D.C., and Pasadena.
The winning bidders for the Australia trip stayed in Sydney for five nights at the Hilton hotel, three nights on the Great Barrier Reef's Hamilton Island and three nights in Melbourne at the Radisson hotel. The purchase, which was $5,250, included Qantas airfare. The airfare alone would cost as much as the winning bidders paid for the entire package.
