Rich Tucker

Rich Tucker is in his second season as strength and conditioning coach for the football program. His primary duties include the design and implementation of all strength and conditioning as it relates to the Bulldogs.
Tucker is a 1981 graduate of Fresno State. He played for Jim Sweeney as a defensive lineman on the 1976 and '77 Bulldogs football teams. The 1977 team went 9-2 and won the PCAA championship.
Previous to Fresno State, Tucker was the offensive line and strength coach at Vista (San Diego, Calif.) High School from 1994-95. He later was the head football coach at Benecia (Calif.) High School from 1995-97. Tucker has also served as the USA Weightlifting senior coach and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS).
Tucker and his wife, Janice, have a son, Michael, and reside in Fresno.
