Fresno State Announces Women's Sports Broadcast Schedule

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State Assistant Athletics Director Deena Diboll announced the school's largest radio broadcast package for Bulldog women's sports as well as announcing the women's sports television package today.
Fresno State's volleyball, women's basketball and softball programs will have their home events broadcast live by two local radio stations in ESPN Radio 1430 AM and campus radio station KFSR 90.7 FM for the 2002-03 season.
In addition, AT&T Broadband will once again televise a minimum of six home dates for volleyball, women's basketball and softball.
With seven home matches left on the docket, the 12-1 Bulldog volleyball team will have its final seven contests broadcast live on local cable AT&T Broadband (channel 14) and/or ESPN Radio 1430 AM/KFSR 90.7 FM.
Receiving national recognition yesterday with a No. 36 national ranking (USA Today/AVCA Top 25), the volleyball team will be on KFSR 90.7 FM for all three home matches in October with AT&T Broadband televising the first home match of the month against Louisiana Tech on Oct. 11.
ESPN Radio 1430 AM will broadcast the final four matches of the season in the month of November with AT&T Broadband televising the final three home matches against San Jose State, Nevada and Hawai'i.
The women's basketball team will have all 13 of its regular-season home games broadcast by ESPN Radio 1430 AM, including games played at the 2003 Western Athletic Conference Tournament in Tulsa, Okla. In addition, KFSR 90.7 FM will travel on the road with the Bulldogs broadcasting games from Santa Clara and San Jose State.
The softball squad will have 12 of its 13 home dates, excluding the Hedrick's Hallowell Chevrolet Classic, broadcast by ESPN Radio 1430 showcasing the first game of the 12 doubleheaders. KFSR 90.7 FM will broadcast the second game of the 12 doubleheaders as well road games at Pacific and San Jose State.
All told, ESPN Radio 1430 AM will broadcast 29 home events for volleyball, women's basketball and softball while KFSR 90.7 will broadcast 19 home events for the three major women's sports. This package is the most radio broadcasts in a year.
