Full Slate of Events at Fresno State This Weekend

FRESNO, Calif. - It's homecoming week, and Fresno State Athletics will be in full tilt this weekend. Nearly every sport currently in season is hosting an event at their home facility. Here is a quick look at all the activity for the Bulldogs before the week ends:
Football
Fresno State hosts SMU on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. The Bulldogs are coming off a 32-30 victory over No. 22 Colorado State last week, which evened their record at 3-3 (1-0 WAC).

Volleyball
The Bulldogs return home to host Louisiana Tech on Friday at 7 p.m. at the North Gym. Fresno State is currently 15-2 (3-1 WAC) and have moved up to 33rd in the national rankings. The team is coming off a road sweep of Tulsa and UTEP last week.

Women's Soccer
Fresno State takes on SMU on Thursday at 7 p.m. and UTEP on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Both games take place at Bulldog Stadium. The Bulldogs split their two games a week ago, defeating Rice before falling to Tulsa.
Ticket Information: Tickets may be purchased prior to the game at the Bulldog Ticket Office, located adjacent to Bulldog Stadium.
Golf
The Bulldogs host their only home event of the season this weekend with the Fresno State-Lexus Classic, held at the San Joaquin Country Club on Friday and Saturday. Sixteen teams will be participating in the annual event. Fresno State is looking to defend the title it captured in 2001.

Swimming and Diving
Fresno State opens its 2002-03 season at home when it takes on Nevada on Saturday at the Central Unified Aquatics Complex. The Bulldogs, who finished fourth at last year's WAC Championships, return two of the four members of the record-breaking 200 and 800 freestyle relay team.

Men's Tennis
The men's tennis team kicks off their 2002-03 season this weekend by hosting the 10th annual Wathen/Hancock Bulldog Classic. Matches will take place at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center beginning Friday. The semifinals and finals are Sunday.
