For her exploits during Fresno State's two victories at home to start league play, Kristen Fenton has been selected as the inaugural Bulldog Athlete of the Week. In the Bulldogs' WAC wins against Tulsa and Rice, she notched 20+ kills in each match against Rice and Tulsa, including one double-double, as Fresno State ran its record to 12-3 (2-0 WAC). With 11 20-kill matches on the year, Fenton opened the week with 24 kills against Rice before following that up with 22 against Tulsa. She was also selected the WAC Player of the Week for her efforts. Having led the Bulldogs in kills in 14 of 15 matches this fall, Fenton notched her 10th double-double of the year when she posted a match-high 22 kills, a match-best and season-high .477 hitting percentage (22-1-44) and a team-high 12 digs while picking up a block against Tulsa. In game two alone versus the Golden Hurricane, Fenton tallied 15 kills and hit a blistering .636 (15-1-22) while picking up seven digs as the team totaled 25 kills in all for game two.
