FRESNO, Calif. - This Saturday, at Bulldog Stadium, Community Medical Centers, in conjunction with Fresno State's ROTC program, will hold the first annual Christmas Toy Drive before Fresno State's football game against Utah State. Kickoff time for the game is at noon, but donations will be accepted before and during the game.
Toys collected at this event will be donated to Toys for Tots, and to the Fresno Police Department, for contribution among its community service officers. Toys should be new and unwrapped. Of particular need are infant and baby toys, as well as toys appropriate for older children. There will be three collection bins stationed on the east, south and west entrances of Bulldog Stadium.
"We are always happy to be a part of a charitable act as the one being run by Community Medical Centers," said Fresno State Interim Athletics Director Scott Johnson "We urge our fans to participate in such a worthwhile cause. In the holiday season we all want to do everything possible to help those less fortunate."
