FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State student-athletes, in conjunction with the Bulldog Shop, will be handing out nearly $5,000 worth of toys to the children at Valley Children's Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 20, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Bulldog Shop has donated mini-basketballs, mini-footballs and stuffed animals for the student-athletes to deliver. More than a dozen student-athletes from several of Fresno State's athletic teams have volunteered their time to personally present the donated gifts to the children. Members from the men's soccer, golf, equestrian, baseball, track and field and women's soccer teams will be participating.
"As role models in the community, our student-athletes do a great job representing our school and are very eager to assist needy children," said Interim Athletics Director Scott Johnson. "We are proud of our student-athletes for their continued commitment toward the youth of our community."
