Dominique Jackson, a criminology major with an emphasis in law enforcement, helped the Bulldog softball team to its fourth-straight Mountain West series sweep at home against Utah State. The freshman designated player went 4-for-8 (.500) with a .636 on-base percentage and an impressive 1.250 slugging percentage. In a three-game span she logged three RBIs, scored two runs and accounted for a team-leading two home runs, 10 total bases and three walks.
Jackson's weekend success was highlighted with a 2-for-2 effort and three walks, including one intentional, during Friday's series opener. She generated three of Fresno State's 12 RBIs on a pair of home runs, aiding in an eight-run come-back victory that went extra innings.
The rookie infielder's nine home runs ranks second in the MW and she owns the eighth-best slugging percentage in the league (.815) during the 'Dogs untouched (12-0) conference run.
