Fresno State junior infielder Scott Silva, a economics major at Fresno State, was named Deli Delicious Student Athlete of the Week.
Helping the Bulldogs win three of four games on the week and improve to 32-17 on the season and 24-5 at home, Silva hit .294 from the dish going 5-for-17 with a double, two home runs, two RBIs and five runs scored.
In Tuesday's 3-2 win over Saint Mary's, the Clovis, Calif., native hit a walk-off home run for the victory and added a single and two runs scored in the game.
On Saturday, he scored the game's only run in a 1-0 10-inning win over San Diego State scoring on a bases-loaded one-out RBI single to right field by Austin Guibor.
Finally, he added two hits, including a leadoff home run, and scored two runs in Sunday's 4-3 win over SDSU.
On the season, Silva has played in 30 games with 24 starts and is hitting .330 from the plate with 34 hits in 103 at-bats. He is tied for fourth on the team in doubles with seven, has 20 runs scored and drove in 14 RBIs.
