What is the Fresno State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)?
The Fresno State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is comprised of 2+ leaders from each Fresno State Athletic Team. Meetings are held once a month in the Duncan meeting room. Bulldog SAAC discusses issues of interest pertaining to the educational, personal and athletic lives of Student-Athletes at Fresno State. Additionally, Bulldog SAAC coordinates several community service opportunities and personal development events throughout the year. Bulldog SAAC is in communication with the Director of Athletics, the Mountain West Conference and NCAA in regards to rules, regulations and policies that affect the Student-Athlete experience.
Mission Statement of Fresno State SAAC
The Fresno State Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advocates for an inclusive athletic environment that values the welfare of each student-athlete. We collaborate with all segments of the university, more specifically, the Fresno State Athletic Corporation, to provide the voice for student-athletes. The mission of SAAC is to prepare student-athletes for lifelong learning and global citizenship through the promotion of academic, athletic, professional and personal growth.
