Dr. Bob Knudsen, who first came to Fresno State in 1964, has been in charge of the athletics department?s Academic Services Office since its inception in 1983.
As assistant athletics director for academics, Knudsen provides overall direction and leadership to the Athletics Academic Services Office and the Student Athlete Assistance Program. He also provides academic and personal counseling to student-athletes and is coordinating the Student Athlete Assistance Program.
He also oversees the sports programs of men?s and women?s track, men?s and women?s cross country, men?s and women?s tennis, and equestrian.
A member of the Academic Senate, Knudsen has also served the university as Activities Advisor, Assistant Dean of Students, Director of the International Student Programs, and Director of the Student Counseling Center.
