Pregame
• Team Captains: Aaron Mitchell, Robert Stanley, James Bailey and Kyle Riddering.
• BYU chooses tails and it was heads. Fresno State chose to defer. BYU will receive.
First Quarter
• Jordan Mims received his third-straight start and fourth of the season.
• Jimmy Camacho opened the scoring with a 43-yard field goal. It was his eighth-straight made field goal.
• Fresno State scored on its opening drive for the second-straight game and third time this season. Fresno State has scored first in seven of nine games this season.
• On the Bulldogs’ first drive, McMaryion was 3-of-4 for 22 yards. McMaryion went over the 100 attempts plateau without an INT (102).
• Fresno State stopped BYU on fourth-and-1. The Bulldogs' defense is 4-of-14 (28%) on fourth down attempts.
• Jamire Jordan’s 50-yard reception was the fourth McMaryion pass over 50 yards this season.
. It was Jordan’s second 50-plus yard catch this season and seventh of his career.
• McMaryion was 6-of-7 for 82 yards in the opening quarter.
• Fresno State has held its opponents scoreless in the first quarter at home four times and three points total.
Second Quarter
• Fresno State went three-and-out with its third drive after scoring on its first two drives. Blake Cusick’s first punt was 58 yards, his eighth punt of more than 50 yards this season.
• Robert Stanley recorded his second sack of the season and second of his career to stop BYU on third-and-10 for a loss of seven yards.
HALFTIME
• BYU manufactured 13 first downs to the Bulldogs’ six.
• BYU ran 45 plays (202 yards) to Fresno State’s 24 plays (153 yards). BYU averaged 4.1 per play while Fresno State averaged 4.1 per play. A Bulldog opponent had not cracked 200 yards in the first half since September 16 at Washington (282).
• Jeffrey Allison led all players with 10 tackles in the first half. It marked his third game this season with double-digit tackles. He entered the season with 21 tackles.
Third Quarter
• BYU tied the game, 13-13, with 4:28 left in the third, marking the first tie of the game since Fresno State went up 3-0 in the first quarter.
• Da’Mari Scott’s 35-yard catch was his longest of the season during the Bulldogs’ sixth drive (in the third quarter).
Fourth Quarter
• Jordan Mims found the endzone for the second time on the night and for the second-straight game. Mims increased his TD total to five this season.
• BYU failed on fouth-and-1 for the second time with 5:38 remaining (at the FS 26).
GAME
• Fresno State grabs ahold of the all-time series lead against BYU, 6-5, in its 11th all-time meeting.
• Fresno State is bowl eligible for the first time since 2014.
• Jeff Tedford becomes the third head coach in the history of the program to lead Fresno State to a bowl game in year one - joining Tim DeRuyter (2012) and Alvin Pierson (1945).
• KeeSean Johnson has made a reception in 31-straight games. The Fresno State all-time record is 34 games, set by Henry Ellard during his career (1979-82).
• Marcus McMaryion went without an INT on 20 attempts, upping his streak to 118-straight attempts without an interceptions. He now ranks No. 6 all-time for consecutive attempts without an INT, moving past Billy Volek’s 1999 season when tossed 111-straight passes without an interception.
• The Bulldogs shut out its sixth opponent in the first quarter improving to 6-0 in such games. Fresno State's opponents have scored only three points combined in the first quarter during five games at Bulldog Stadium.
• Jimmy Camacho has made a field goal in every game this season and has made 16 this season.
• The 'Dogs have recorded six games this season with multiple rushing touchdowns.
• Marcus McMaryion now has four passes of 50-plus yards on the season with his toss to Jordan in the first quarter.
• With pass completions of 35 and 50 yards, respectively, Marcus McMaryion has 13 competitions this season that have gone for 30-plus yards, and 25 completions this season that have gone for 20-plus yards.
• KeeSean Johnson led the team in receptions six times out the nine contests this season.
• Fresno State increased its season record to 5-1 this season win winning the turnover battle (1-0).
• Fresno State has created a turnover in six of the last seven games.
• Jeffrey Allison’s matched his career-high in tackles (14), originally set at Alabama.
