Pregame
• Team Captains: Marcus McMaryion, George Helmuth, KeeSean Johnson and Juju Hughes.
• Fresno State won the coin toss and elected to defer to receive to start the second half.
First Quarter
• Minnesota was held to 15 yards on six plays (one first down) on its opening drive.
• Running back Dejonte O'Neal picked up his fifth career start.
• Michiah Quick converted the 'Dogs first third down attempt (3rd-and-5 for eight yards).
• The 'Dogs converted one third down and gained 21 yards on six plays with their opening drive.
• Fresno State surrendered the game's first points – a 14-play, 80-yard touchdown drive that elapsed 7:17 of time.
• Brian Burt recorded his first statistics as a Bulldog (third career game), returning the Bulldogs' first kickoff 21 yards.

• KeeSean Johnson extended his streak to consecutive games to 38-straight games with a catch early in the quarter.
• At 7:56 Dejonte O'Neal fumbled the ball but Fresno State retained the it with the ball going out of bounds before Minnesota recovered.
• At 7:08, Jamire Jordan caught his first pass of the season to give the 'Dogs a first down.
HALFTIME
• Fresno State was shutout in the first half for the first time since traveling to Colorado State in 2016.
• Jeff Allison led the team with nine tackles.
• Minnesota outgained Fresno State in total yards at the break, 174-104.
• Fresno State was 4-of-7 on third down conversations in the first half.
Third Quarter
• Nick Abbs entered the game at left guard; replacing an injured Netane Muti. Cronk shifted to left tackle and Abbs entered at left guard.
• At 3:49, Patrick Belony recovered a fumble at the Minnesota 17-yard line forced by Tank Kelly. It was a first for each in their careers.
• Fresno State cashed in on the fumble, going four plays for 17 yards – finished by a one-yard TD pass from McMaryion to Jared Rice. It was McMaryion's first TD toss of the season and 15th TD of his Fresno State career. It was Rice's first TD catch of the season and fifth career TD catch.
• Fresno State broke Minnesota's streak of 88-minutes, 50 seconds of keeping its opponent scoreless.
Fourth Quarter
• At 9:43, Minnesota extended its lead to six points with a 50-yard field goal with its second 50-plus yard field goal of the game. It was kicker Emmit Carpenter's second career game with two 50-plus yard field goal games.
• Fresno State took its first lead of the game with 8:20 remaining in the contest thanks to a Marcus McMaryion to KeeSean Johnson 45-yard touchdown pass. It also marked the Bulldogs longest play of the game.
• Minnesota regained the lead with 3:28 to play, 21-14, after a 10-play, 74-yard drive that was keyed by a 13-yard Zack Annexstad completion on third-and-9. That was followed by a 15-yard sideline infraction penalty on Fresno State that moved the ball to the Bulldogs' 28-yard line.
• Fresno State moved the ball 71 yards down the field converting on a fourth-and-3 from the Minnesota 10-yard line on its final possession before Josh Hokit's pass attempt on first-and-goal to Rice with 1:24 remaining was intercepted in the end zone. It was his first interception in three pass attempts.
