PREGAME
• Team Captains: Jorge Reyna, Netane Muti, Mykal Walker and Juju Hughes.
• Fresno State won the coin toss and elected to defer to second half.
• Kickoff Temp: 72 degrees.

GAME
• First time starters on defense: Chris Gaston, Arron Mosby, Isaiah Johnson, Andrew Wright
• First time starters on offense: Jamal Glaspie, Jalen Cropper, Jorge Reyna, Juan Rodriguez, Matt Smith
• Fresno State surrendered an opening drive touchdown for the first time since Nov. 25, 2017 (vs. Boise State).
• Jorge Reyna rushed for 88 yards. It was the most rushing yards by a quarterback since the turn of the century.
• Cesar Silva, in his Fresno State debut, went 3-for-3 kicking field goals. The last time a Bulldog kicker went 100 percent with at least three attempts was Kody Kroening on Oct. 8, 2016 vs. Nevada.
• Saturday’s game was the third game under Jeff Tedford that the Bulldogs surrendered more than 30 points, and it broke a nation-best streak of 25 games that dated back to Sept. 16, 2017.
• In the second quarter, Jorge Reyna tossed his first touchdown of the season and second touchdown pass of his career – a 34-yard TD to Derrion Grim – both career TD throws are to Grim.
• Justin Rice, once a starter at running back, recorded his first career interception in the second quarter.
• Chris Gaston had 10 tackles at halftime, and 12 in the game.
• Fresno State had four players record double-digit tackles: Mykal Walker (15), Chris Gaston (12), Juju Hughes (11) and Justin Rice (10). All four either matched or set career highs. The last time four players had double-digit tackles was against Air Force on Oct. 28, 2016.
• USC tallied 163 yards in the first quarter. The Bulldogs’ defense did not allow more than 152 in an opening quarter in 2018 (Hawaii).
• Fresno State allowed a kickoff return 100 yards for a touchdown with 8:11 remaining in the third quarter – it was the first kickoff return allowed for a touchdown since Nov. 28, 2015 vs. Colorado State – a 96-yard return by Kevin Nutt.
• Jaron Bryant registered his sixth career interception before the third quarter closed out to give the Bulldogs possession at their own nine-yard line.
• Reyna tossed his second TD pass of the game in the fourth quarter, an 8-yard strike to Chris Coleman for Coleman’s first career touchdown.
• USC had 18 first downs in the first half, and were limited to seven in the second half.
• Fresno State forced four turnovers, the most since forcing four on Sept. 15, 2018 at UCLA.
