Pregame
• Team Captains: Jorge Reyna, Netane Muti, Mykal Walker and Juju Hughes.
• Sacramento State won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half. It was the first time Fresno State received the opening kickoff

GAME
• The game’s first score, a 14-yard reception by Josh Hokit, was the senior’s first career TD catch.
• Josh Hokit accounted for three of the Bulldogs’ five touchdowns in Saturday’s game.
• Hokit had his first career game with a rushing TD (2) and a receiving TD (1).
• Hokit scored his ninth and 10th career rushing touchdowns.
• The Bulldogs improve to 12-2 at home in the Tedford era.
• The Bulldogs all-time series lead against Sacramento State increased to 4-0, following the win. But it was the first time in the series the Bulldogs allowed more than seven points in a game.
• Jorge Reyna connected with Derrion Grim, 7-yard TD, to put the ‘Dogs on top 27-20 (6:41). It was Grim’s second receiving score of the season and fifth career.
• Ronnie Rivers registered a 6-yard TD in the second quarter, his first of the 2019 season and 16th career rushing score. The score gave the Bulldogs a 14-6 lead with 3:32 remaining in the half.
• Zane Pope topped his career best total in receiving yards in the second quarter (5 rec., 70 yards) while also matching his career best in receptions. He finished with six receptions for 72 yards.
• Blake Cusick placed all three of his punts inside the 10-yard line, including one on the 1-yard line.
• Fresno State has suffered just six losses in its last 28 games.
• Against the odds – Fresno State won the turnover battle and lost games against USC and Minnesota, but lost the turnover battle to Sacramento State and won the game (2-1).
• Fresno State has won the last four games when it lost the turnover battle.
• Ronnie Rivers’ fumble was his second career lost fumble – first since 2017.
• Fresno State allowed 12 rushing yards. The Bulldogs have held an opponent under 50 yards rushing three times since 2016. They allowed 49 yards to Hawaii in 2016, -30 yards to Incarnate Word in 2017 and 12 yards to Sacramento State in 2019.
• This was the ninth time in the Tedford era an opponent was held to less than 100 yards rushing.
• Jaron Bryant owned six tackles at halftime (5 solo) and finished with eight. It was one off his career high of nine.
• After forcing seven turnovers in two games versus USC and Minnesota, Sacramento State surrendered the ball just one time to Fresno State.
• Kevin Atkins blocked Sacramento State’s first PAT attempt. It was the first blocked PAT by a Bulldog since Matt Boateng blocked an attempt in the 2018 MW Championship Game.
