- The loss snapped Fresno State's three-game win streak against Hawaii. The Bulldogs have won eight of their last 10 games against the Warriors.
- Head coach Kalan DeBoer's first win as the Bulldogs will have to wait. The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday, Oct. 29 against Colorado State.Â
- The opening kickoff Bralyn Lux forced a fumble on Mac Dalena recovered. The ‘Dogs capitalized with 7 points off the turnover.
- Ronnie Rivers scored on the opening drive; it was his ninth straight game to score in a game.
- Ronnie Rivers moved past his dad, Ron Rivers, with the Bulldogs’ first score of the season. It was Ronnie’s 29th career rushing touchdown, he is tied for the fourth-most touchdowns in program history with 29 with Bryson Sumlin, Michael Pittman and Dean Philpott.
- Kwami Jones had three sacks in the first quarter – the last time a player had three sacks in a GAME was Tobenna Okeke with three against Hawaii on Nov. 11, 2017.
- Fresno State and Hawaii shared the same amount of penalties, seven apiece, but the ‘Dogs opened the game with five penalties in the first quarter while Hawaii had none. The game was tied, 7-7, after the first quarter.
- Juan Rodriguez scored his first career touchdown, and Jake Haener threw his first career touchdown pass for the Bulldogs on an 18-yard score in the second quarter to give Fresno State a 13-10 lead (PAT was no good).
- Sherwin King led the Bulldogs in tackles with nine in his first career start.
- Fresno State had 4 sacks at the break. Three were from Kwami Jones. The Bulldogs did not record a sack in the second half. The Bulldogs had four sacks or more twice in 2019.
- The Bulldogs’ two longest plays, of 51 yards and 46 yards, were both heaves to start drives, and resulted in points each time. The Bulldogs charted four explosives in the game (plays of 20+ yards).
- Cesar Silva went 2-for-2 in the game, both kicks less than 29 yards. He is 6-of-7 in his career on kicks under 29 yards.
- Fresno State allowed the most rushing yards to an opponent since Air Force in 2019.
- Fresno State had four turnovers. The Bulldogs have not won a game with four or more since the 2013 Mountain West Championship game against Utah State.
- The last time Fresno State turned the ball over four times or more was in 2016 against Air Force.
- Arron Mosby’s streak of 12 consecutive starts ended against Hawai'i.
