• Kalen DeBoer earned his first win as head coach at Fresno State. DeBoer was hired on Dec. 19, 2019 as the 20th head coach in program history.
• Fresno State won its first game against Colorado State since Oct. 6, 2012. The win closed the all-time deficit to 10-6 in favor of the Rams.
• Fresno State earned its first victory since Nov. 2, 2019 at Hawai'i. The Bulldogs' 38 points in the win were the most points scored since their 41 points in the Hawai'i win.
• The win snapped Fresno State's four-game home losing streak, which started with a loss to Colorado State on Oct. 26, 2019.
• The Bulldogs registered 432 yards offense in the game, with 307 yards of it coming in the first half. The 307 first half yards were the most in a first half since racking up 350 yards versus Hawai'i on Oct. 27, 2018. The 432 yards were the most total yards in a single game since recording 514 yards on Nov. 2, 2019 at Hawai'i.
• Three players earned their first career starts respectively, tight end Raymond Pauwels Jr., defensive tackle Matt Lawson and linebacker Malachi Langley.
• Fresno State held Colorado State to 4-of-15 (26.6%) on third downs versus allowing 11-of-16 (68.8%) to Hawai'i a week ago.
• Fresno State won the turnover battle, 1-0. It was the first time the Bulldogs did not commit a turnover since Nov. 9, 2019 against Utah State.
• Ronnie Rivers moved into solo fourth place in all-time career rushing touchdowns, adding two more versus Colorado State. With 31 career rushing touchdowns, he only trails Ryan Mathews (39), Robbie Rouse (37) and Anthony Daigle (35).
• Ronnie Rivers has scored at least one touchdown, rushing or receiving, in 10 straight games.
• With three total touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving), Ronnie Rivers passed Davante Adams (38) on the all-time scoring list of total touchdowns scored, owning 39 in his career.
• Jake Haener was 22-of-32 passing for three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Haener was 14-of-17 for 210 yards at the half. Two of the three incompletions were drops.
• Running back Jordan Mims reached the end zone for the first time in 705 days, coming off an injury that sidelined him the entire 2019 season.
• Jalen Cropper scored his first career-receiving touchdown in the game. Cropper scored three times as a true freshman, but each were rushing scores.
• Fresno State owned the time of possession battle, 35:50 to 24:10.
• Sherwin King Jr. forced his first career fumble, in his second career start in as many games.
• Evan Williams led the team in tackles. In seven career starts, it was his second time to lead the team in tackles (Nov. 9, 2019 vs. Utah State). Â
