Team Notes

Fresno State scored first in the game for the first time since facing UCLA on Sept. 18.
Fresno State held Wyoming scoreless in the first quarter. This was the third-straight game the Cowboys were held scoreless in the first.
Fresno State held Wyoming scoreless for the first half, the first time the Cowboys have been shutout for a half this season.
Braylen Nelson (LG), Malachi Langley (LB), Rian Fields (H), and Kwami Jones (DE) each got the first starts of the season in their respective positions.

Offensive Notes

Fresno State had its lowest amount of total yards (111) in a half (first) this season.
Jake Haener threw for 96 yards, his lowest single-game total in his Bulldog career.
Jalen Cropper kept his scoring streak alive, scoring for his eighth-straight game. Cropper is just one game shy of tying the record set by Davante Adams who had a streak of nine games with a score.
Juan Rodriguez scored his first touchdown of the season.
Jordan Mims had a season-high 78 yards rushing.

Defense Notes

Fresno State shutout its opponent for the second time this season.
Evan Williams had his second career interception, and the first of the season at Wyoming. It was his first pick since facing Hawai’i in 2019.
Williams picked off Chambers for the second time in the fourth quarter, the first time a Bulldog has had two INTs since Chris Gaston had two at UNLV on Nov. 7, 2020.
Elijah Gates recovered the third fumble of his career and first as a Bulldog.
Kevin Atkins now has a new single-season career-high in tackles for loss.
Malachi Langley and L.J. Early snagged their first career interceptions in the win.
