- Fresno State Athletics retired Davante Adams’ jersey at halftime of the game. He is the ninth Bulldog to have his number retired.
- Fresno State had its second sellout in as many games at Valley Children’s Stadium.
- Fresno State won its first game since the season opener on Sept. 1 (vs. Cal Poly)
- With its win against San Jose State, Fresno State defeated its first FBS opponent of the season.
- Fresno State snapped San Jose State’s three-game winning streak, and handed it it’s first conference loss of the season.
- Fresno State won its first conference game under head coach Jeff Tedford since Nov. 2, 2019 at Hawai'i - coincidentally the last time Tedford faced QB Chevan Cordeiro.Â
- Fresno State’s defense held San Jose State to 3-of-14 on third down (21.4%). It was the second-lowest conversion rate for a Bulldogs’ opponent this season.

- Nikko Remigio caught his first touchdown pass as a Bulldog, a 7-yard score in the third quarter that gave the ‘Dogs a 14-10 lead.
- Malik Sherrod had a career high 10 carries.
- Logan Fife threw for career highs of 22 completions, 32 attempts and 230 yards.
- Fife threw for his first touchdown pass of the season, the 7-yard touchdown to Remigio.
- Fife won his first game as the starting quarterback.
Defense Notes
- Bralyn Lux snagged his first interception of the season, and the second of his career. His first was as a redshirt freshman in 2020.
- Lux grabbed the first interception thrown by Chevan Cordeiro this season.
- David Perales was second on the team with five tackles against San Jose State. Of his five tackles, four were sacks. All five tackles were tackles for loss.
- Perales had a career-high 4.0 sacks against the San Jose State offense.
- It was the most sacks in a game by a Bulldog since at least 2000.
- Perales recorded the second-most sacks in a game by any player in the FBS this season (stats submitted as of Oct. 14).
- Perales had the most sacks in a game by any MW player this season.
- His 5.0 TFLs were also the most in a game by any MW player this season, and the second-most by any FBS player on the year.
- Perales’ 5.0 tackles for a loss are the most by a Bulldog in a game since Ejiro Ederaine in the 2014 Mountain West Championship game.
