- Fresno State scored on its opening drive for the third-straight game, capping this week’s game with a 31-yard field goal by Abraham Montano.
- Fresno State held its opponent to zero points in the first quarter for the third time this season, and its first since San Jose State (Oct. 15).
- Fresno State scored its most points in the opening quarter (17) since the season opener when it scored 21 against Cal Poly (Sept. 1).
- Fresno State scored its first defensive touchdown since the 2021 season opener when Arron Mosby returned a fumble recovery for a touchdown against UConn (Aug. 28, 2021).
- Fresno State had a receiving touchdown in the second half. It was the first passing touchdown that Hawai’i gave up since its game against San Diego State (Oct. 8).
- Fresno State held its opponent scoreless in the first half for the first time since New Mexico on Nov. 13, 2021.
- Fresno State scored its most points in the first half (31) since scoring 35 against Cal Poly in the first half in 2021.
- The Bulldogs scored their most points of the season in the win against Hawai’i (55).
- Fresno State committed one penalty in the game. It was the third time this season that the Bulldogs have had just one penalty in a game.Â
- Fresno State had 572 yards of total offense. It was the most in a game since the ‘Dogs had 671 against Cal Poly on Sept. 11, 2021. It was the most total offensive yards in a Mountain West game since recording 599 at Nevada on Dec. 5, 2020.
- Fresno State had its largest margin of victory (42 points) in a conference game since recording a 48-3 win on Nov. 3, 2018 at UNLV (45 points).
- Fresno State has won four-straight games, its longest winning streak since 2018.
- Fresno State snapped its two-game losing streak to Hawai’i. The Bulldogs own the series record with the Rainbow Warriors, 30-24-1 and the record in Fresno 16-9-1.
Offensive Notes
- QB Jake Haener tossed his 16th career 300-yard passing performance.
- Haener’s four passing touchdowns are his most in a game this season.
- RB Jordan Mims recorded his 10th touchdown of the year, tying his single-season career-high.
- Mims is up to 36 career touchdowns with 28 rushing scores. He is sixth all-time in career touchdowns, and tied for eighth all-time in rushing touchdowns alongside Ron Rivers (1991-93).
- Mims recorded his eighth career 100-yard rushing game. It was his fourth of the season.
- WR Jalen Moreno-Cropper had his first multi-receiving touchdown game of the season, and first since scoring four receiving touchdowns against UNLV in 2021.
- Moreno-Cropper is up to 19 receiving touchdowns in his career, tying with Charles Smith (1998-01) for eighth all-time in Bulldog history.
- Moreno-Cropper had the third-longest reception by any Bulldog of the season on his 59-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter. It was the second-longest touchdown pass of the season, both caught by Moreno-Cropper but one tossed by Logan Fife (at New Mexico, Oct. 22) and one by Haener (vs Hawai’i, Nov. 5)
- WR Nikko Remigio recorded his seventh touchdown as a Bulldog, but his fourth receiving score.
- RB Elijah Gilliam recorded his longest career run with a 21-yard rush in the fourth quarter.
- Gilliam scored his first career touchdown on a 7-yard rush in the fourth quarter.
- WR Jalen Moss played in his first career game.Â
Defense Notes
- DB Cam Lockridge (a transfer from Hawai’i) recorded his second career interception as a Bulldog, and second in as many games. Lockridge is the first Bulldog to record interceptions in back-to-back games for the first time since Juju Hughes in 2019.
- Lockridge recorded Fresno State’s first interception return for a touchdown since Wylan Free had a 91-yard INT return at New Mexico State on Sept. 28, 2019
- DE David Perales had a sack in the game, bringing his season total to 8.5. It is the most sacks in a season for the senior.
- Perales has 19.5 sacks in his career, tying for eighth in program history with Chris Carter (2007-10) and Zack Rix (1989-92).
- DB Carlton Johnson registered a sack in the game. Johnson became the 12th Bulldog to record a sack this season.
- DB Alzillion Hamilton had a team-high three broken up passes, a season high for the young cornerback.
- DB Evan Williams and LB Levelle Bailey led the team in tackles with six apiece.
Special Teams
- Freshman kicker Dylan Lynch had his first career field goal in the win. Lynch was 1-of-1 on his FG attempts in the win.
- Lynch also had five successful PAT attempts in the win.
- Lynch accounted for a career-high eight points in the win.
- Lynch also handled kickoffs with 10 kickoffs for 617 yards. It was a career-high for the freshman.
- Fresno State had its first blocked PAT since 2020 (Evan Williams at Utah State, Nov. 14, 2020). It was Da’Marcus Johnson who got his hand on it on Saturday.
