- Fresno State won its third Mountain West Championship Game.
- It was the Bulldogs' second title win at Boise State (2018, 2022), both coached by Jeff Tedford.
- Fresno State now has four overall Mountain West Championships (2012, 2013, 2018, 2022).
- The 2022 conference title was the program’s 29th all-time.
- Fresno State won its third-ever game at Boise State. Both wins on the Blue Turf have come in championship games.
- QB Jake Haener was named Offensive Player of the Game. DB Cam Lockridge was named Defensive Player of the Game.
- Fresno State won the turnover battle 2-0, turning both into touchdowns.
- Fresno State scored touchdowns on three of its final six drives after not scoring on its first five.
- Fresno State won its third game this season when being outgained on offense (San Diego State, UNLV, Boise State).
Offensive Notes
- RB Jordan Mims scored the Bulldogs’ first offensive touchdown of the game. It was his 15th rushing touchdown of the season.
- Mims has scored at least one rushing touchdown in eight-straight games.
- Mims finished the day with two rushing touchdowns giving him 16 for the season and 35 for his career. The 16 is the fourth-most in a single season in program history while the 35 moves him into a tie on the career list with Anthony Daigle.
- Mims has 43 career touchdowns.
- With 83 rushing yards, Mims has 3,081 yards for his career, passing Michael Pittman for sixth all-time at Fresno State.
- Mims is one of seven Bulldogs to rush for more than 3,000 yards in a career.
- WR Jalen Moreno-Cropper surpassed 1,000 yards receiving on the season, becoming the first Bulldog since KeeSean Johnson in 2018 to hit the milestone.
- With one passing touchdown, Jake Haener has thrown 18Â this season.
- Haener extends his streak to 28-straight games with a passing touchdown, holding the Mountain West record for longest streak.
- Haener’s 27 passing attempts moved him to fourth on the Bulldogs’ career list with 1,036, passing Mark Barsotti.
Defense Notes
- DB Cam Lockridge grabbed his fourth interception of the season, and returned it 25 yards. He has now had an interception in back-to-back games.
- Lockridge grabbed two interceptions in the win.
- With five INTs on the year, Lockridge has the most interceptions in a season since Derron Smith had seven in 2013.
- DT Leonard Payne Jr. got his first start of the season.
- Defensive lineman Devo Bridges got his fourth start of the season as a defensive end, stepping in for a dinged up David Perales. Bridges has started the last seven games as a defensive tackle.
- DB L.J. Early tied his career high in tackles with seven, the third time he has collected seven tackles. It was the second time this season he has recorded seven tackles against the Broncos.
Special Teams Notes
- WR Nikko Remigio recorded a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown for Fresno State’s first score of the game.
- Remigio had his second punt return for a touchdown of the season.
- Remigio is the first Bulldog with two punt return touchdowns in a season since Isaiah Burse in 2013.
