- Fresno State falls to 1-2 on the season for the first time since 2019. In 2019, both losses were against Power 5 opponents.
- Fresno State played in front of its biggest crowd since playing at then-No. 12 Washington in 2017. Saturday night’s announced attendance by USC was 67,226
- USC now leads the all-time series 1-5
- Fresno State lost production to injuries of QB Jake Haener and DB Evan Williams

Offense Notes:
- Wide receiver Erik Brooks caught his fourth career touchdown pass in the second quarter. Of his four career touchdowns, three have been scored against Power 5 opponents (UCLA, Oregon State and USC).
- Brooks’ 39-yard touchdown reception was the longest catch of his career.
- Brooks finished the night with a career-best 89 yards receiving.
- Jake Haener threw his first interception since Boise State (Nov. 6, 2021). Haener had 212 pass attempts since his last interception.
- Malik Sherrod scored his first career touchdown on a 32-yard run. It was the longest run of his career.
- Logan Fife entered the game in relief of injured Jake Haener in the third quarter. On his first offensive drive, Fife drove for a successful five play, 71 yard scoring drive capped by the 32-yard touchdown by Sherrod.
- Fife finished the game by completing 11-of-12 passes for 140 yards.
- Tight end Raymond Pauwels Jr. had the longest reception of his career with a 26-yard catch in the third quarter
- Running back Jordan Mims registered 100-yards rushing for the second-straight game. With 114 yards rushing, Mims has had six 100-yard rushing games in his career.
- Wide receiver Josh Kelly had his streak snapped of consecutive games with a reception. His streak ends at 22-straight games with a catch.

Defense Notes:
- Defensive end David Perales recorded his first sack of the season. He finished the night with a career-high-tying 2.0 sacks.
- In his first play time of the year, defensive end Da’Marcus Johnson recorded his first career sack
- Defensive end Andres Fox got his first career start as a Bulldog
- Although only playing in one full quarter, senior safety Evan Williams finished third on the team with five tackles.
- Chrishawn Gordon had a career-high three tackles
- Cam Lockridge recorded his most tackles as a Bulldog, finishing with five (four solo)
- Bralyn Lux, who was in coverage against the 2021 Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addison, finished second on the team with six tackles (all solo) and one broken up pass.

Special Teams Notes:
- Nikko Remigio registered a Fresno State career-best with 123 kickoff return yards.
- Remigio had a long return of 35 yards, the longest of the season for the first-year Bulldog.
- Mac Dalena registered a career-best two tackles on special teams.
- Abraham Montano was 1-of-2 on his field goal attempts, missing on a 48-yard attempt.
