Team Notes
- Fresno State lost possession of the Valley Trophy for the first time since 2019.
- San Jose State’s Kairee Robinson rushed for 200 yards on Saturday. He became the first player to rush for 200+ yards against Fresno State since Alexander Mattison (Boise State) on Dec. 1, 2018.
- Fresno State allowed 300+ rushing yards in a game for the first time since allowing 316 to Boise State on Oct. 8, 2022.
- For the first time this season, Fresno State did not score a touchdown or go 3-and-out on its opening drive. This week instead, the Bulldogs settled for a 31-yard field goal.
- The last time Fresno State allowed at least 42 points was on Sept. 17, 2022 when they gave up 45 at USC.
- Fresno State allowed at least 42 points to a Mountain West opponent for the first time since surrendering 49 in a loss to New Mexico on Dec. 12, 2020.
- Fresno State allowed 21 points to San Jose State in the first quarter, the most points allowed by the Bulldogs since allowing 21 in the second quarter to Wyoming (Oct. 7).
- Fresno State gave up an interception return for a touchdown for the first time since Oct. 12, 2019 at Air Force.
- Fresno State had its first successful 2-point conversion since Sept. 23 against Kent State.
- Fresno State did not force a turnover for the first time since Oct. 7 at Wyoming. It was just the fourth time this year that Fresno State did not have at least one defensive turnover.
- Fresno State had starters Jacob Spomer (OL), Johnny Hudson Jr. (DL) and Mikey Keene (QB) leave the game with injury. Spomer and Keene did not return, Hudson did.
Offense Notes
- OL Toreon Penright saw his first true offensive line game action of the season, filling in for an injured Jacob Spomer who went down in the Bulldogs’ opening drive.
- QB Mikey Keene threw his eighth interception of the season, on the Bulldogs’ second offensive drive.
- WR Mac Dalena scored the Bulldogs’ first touchdown of the evening, a 39-yard reception from Keene. It was his third of the year.
- The catch was Dalena’s longest of the season.
- Dalena finished with a team-high six receptions for 69 yards.
- Dalena led the team in receiving yards for the second game in a row.
- QB Logan Fife entered the game late in the second quarter and converted on a fourth-and-3 on his first play.
- WR Jalen Moss caught his fifth touchdown reception of the year on an 11-yard toss from Fife in the fourth quarter.
Defense Notes
- DB Kosi Agina led the Bulldogs with 10 tackles.
- Agina led the team in tackles for the first time this season.
- DL Sione Noa recorded his second sack of the season.
Special Teams Notes
- Dylan Lynch extended his streak of at least one made field goal to 10 with a 31-yarder in the first quarter.
- Lynch has made eight field goals in a row.
